Lance HaunRogue began tattooing in 2006. He apprenticed at Church of Steel in San Diego and spent 15 years honing his craft there before relocating to Temecula. With a strong foundation in both black and gray and color tattooing, Lance’s work leans into realism, figures, and fantasy— often drawing inspiration from comic books, film, and pop culture.
He specializes in Pin-Ups, Realism, Black & Gray, Portraits, Color, American Traditional, Black Work, and Cover Ups. His tattoos reflect a solid technical base, a strong eye for detail, and a creative approach to every design. Beyond tattooing, Lance is a lifelong artist and storyteller. He writes, illustrates, and self-publishes comics and graphic novels, and has a background in traditional animation and video game art direction. He’s worked with major studios, contributed to licensed titles, and continues to create comic-inspired pinups and original artwork by commission. |

Lance isn’t just a tattoo artist—he’s a seasoned creator with roots reaching back to the early ’90s. He began his professional journey in 1990 as a 2D traditional animator with American Film Technologies, even serving as Assistant Director on Attack of the Killer Tomatoes for Fox and Marvel Comics. From there, his talents took him deep into video game art direction and production, working across consoles like Atari Lynx, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, N64, and even motion-based VR rides.
In addition to animation and gaming, Lance is a writer, musician, illustrator, and web & graphic designer. He’s crafted independent comic books, film scripts, poetry, logos, T‑shirts, and CD/jacket art—and most recently has been developing a feature film called Blood of the Innocent.
